Original job description

The Team Sales Engagement Tool Company began at Parent Company as an internal sales prospecting tool in response to the challenges posed by a rapidly growing sales team, where traditional prospecting methods and existing tools were becoming less effective. Since its internal launch, we’ve seen overwhelming adoption from our 500 person sales team, with resounding preference over existing, market-leading sales tools. Reflecting on its success, we saw the potential to share this powerful tool with the market and build new innovations. Sales Engagement Tool Company, a subsidiary of Parent Company, is a venture into the sales tools market. The sales engagement tools industry alone represents a $9 billion opportunity, offering vast potential for innovation and growth. At Sales Engagement Tool Company, we are committed to revolutionizing the way buyers and sellers connect. Join us on this exciting journey. The Role As a founding engineer, you will play a critical role in building our product and driving the direction of our company. This is a hands-on position involving work on all parts of our stack, from the core backend APIs to the data ingestion and orchestration. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and the founders, playing a pivotal role in shaping both the product and the company's values and vision.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain the core components of our enterprise sales prospecting tool, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Define and execute the technical and product roadmap in close partnership with the founders.

Expertise in a programming language (preferably Python or Go).
3+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably with a strong focus in backend, data, infrastructure or distributed systems.
Knowledge of data orchestration and data engineering principles and technologies.
Experience designing and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant, cloud based systems.
Familiarity with containerized applications and container orchestration concepts.
Knowledge of networking and web protocol basics.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Passion for building great products and commitment to delivering outstanding user experiences.
