BRPH is a technically focused, creative architecture, engineering, and construction company with over six decades of expertise in helping mission-driven clients in the aerospace, defense, manufacturing, commercial, education, entertainment, hospitality, and federal markets identify gaps in their program delivery and develop innovative solutions to their most challenging problems across the U.S. and around the world. Consistently ranked among the nation’s top firms, we take pride in solving complex challenges with forward-thinking solutions.

As an employee-owned company, BRPH is known for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and client-focused approach, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to design and build environments that are functional, efficient, and future-ready.

SUMMARY:

The Senior Construction Project Manager provides overall leadership for large, complex, high-risk, or multiple construction and design-build projects within Construction and Integrated Services (C&IS). The role is accountable for project execution and financial outcomes, Owner relationships, team performance, risk and change governance, and integration of preconstruction, design, procurement, construction, quality, safety, commissioning, turnover, and closeout. In addition to leading assigned work, the Senior Construction Project Manager guides other project leaders, resolves escalated delivery issues within delegated authority, supports pursuits and client development, and provides clear recommendations to the Project Executive and C&IS leadership on decisions requiring higher approval. The Senior Construction Project Manager is typically assigned to projects that exceed $25 million in value or involve increased complexity not found in traditional construction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead execution of large, complex, high-risk, or multiple projects and confirm that project plans, resources, controls, and decision paths align with contractual obligations and approved business objectives.
  • Direct development and implementation of integrated project execution plans covering scope, budget and margin, cash flow, schedule, staffing, procurement, design management, safety, quality, risk, communication, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
  • Lead Healthy Start, project validation, and major phase-gate reviews; verify that project roles, deliverables, systems, controls, constraints, and escalation paths remain current as the work evolves.
  • Serve as a senior Owner and stakeholder contact for contractual, commercial, delivery, and relationship matters while coordinating decisions and approvals with the Project Executive, Contracts, Finance, and other authorized leaders.
  • Direct project financial strategy and performance, including baseline conversion, forecasts, job-cost reporting, commitments, cash flow, billings, changes, contingency use, recovery actions, and communication of material variances.
  • Lead project risk and opportunity management; challenge mitigation plans, evaluate cost and schedule exposure, and elevate risk acceptance, contractual exceptions, and consequential decisions to the Project Executive or authorized leadership.
  • Provide senior oversight of project schedules, procurement and release strategies, design and quality gates, commissioning, and closeout; intervene when trends threaten contractual milestones or project outcomes.
  • Ensure safety is integrated into planning and execution and that accountable field and safety leaders have the resources, coordination, and management support needed to perform their responsibilities.
  • Ensure project-specific Quality Control Plans are implemented, quality-release requirements are satisfied, unresolved issues are escalated, and quality records support Owner acceptance and project closeout.
  • Lead integration among the Design Manager, Architect of Record, Engineer of Record, Preconstruction Manager, construction team, and trade partners to maintain design-to-cost, constructability, procurement, schedule, quality, and field alignment while preserving licensed authority.
  • Provide senior oversight of bid packages, award recommendations, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, trade-partner performance, claims avoidance, change management, and commercial issue resolution within approved authority.
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams; assign leadership responsibilities, coach Construction Project Managers and project staff, provide timely performance input, support development planning, and resolve cross-functional conflicts.
  • Review project reporting and lead executive-level communication of financial status, schedule, risk, change, safety, quality, client matters, resource needs, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Support pursuits, interviews, proposals, preconstruction planning, and client-development activities by translating delivery experience into credible execution, risk, staffing, and commercial strategies.
  • Promote consistent use of Procore and approved BRPH systems, conduct lessons-learned reviews, and recommend improvements to project-management standards, tools, controls, and training.
  • Verify that commissioning, turnover, closeout, final financial reconciliation, record documentation, and remaining contractual obligations are completed and that unresolved items have an accountable owner and escalation path.
