Role Overview As a .NET API Developer at BRIO Solutions, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade RESTful APIs in a client-facing engagement. You will work within an agile team to deliver high-quality, well-tested APIs that integrate with internal and external systems, while also supporting and maintaining legacy .NET 4 components during the modernization journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust RESTful APIs using .NET 8+ (ASP.NET Core Web API)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented C# code following SOLID principles
• Develop and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and schemas
• Use LINQ for expressive, efficient data access against SQL Server and EF Core
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing .NET 4 / .NET Framework applications
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and product owners
• Ensure API security, performance, and reliability across all services
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality standards
• Contribute to technical documentation, API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger), and runbooks

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience developing with .NET (C#)
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET 8+ and ASP.NET Core Web API
• Proficiency with SQL Server - query design, indexing, stored procedures, performance tuning
• Solid understanding of LINQ for data querying and transformation
• Experience supporting or maintaining legacy .NET 4 / .NET Framework applications
• Familiarity with RESTful API design patterns and best practices
• Working knowledge of Entity Framework Core or Dapper
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM) - policies, versioning, developer portal
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline configuration and management
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and API security best practices
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service)
• Healthcare industry experience or exposure to HIPAA compliance requirements
