General Laborer

Brilliant Fabricators in Oneonta, Alabama are hiring full-time Entry Level General Laborer position. General Laborer, helper-production workersupports the daily production activities at Brilliant by assisting with material handling, basic machine operation, shop maintenance, and fabrication tasks. This position helps ensure an efficient workflow by performing a variety of physical and entry-level duties under the direction of skilled fabricators and supervisors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Load, unload, and move raw materials, metal parts, and finished products throughout the fabrication shop.Operatebasic shop equipment such as saws. grinders, drills, or hand tools (training provided).Assist machine operators with setup, positioning materials, and removing completed parts.Keep the work area clean and organized, including sweeping, disposing of scrap, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.Measure, label, and prepare materials according to production requirements. Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment. Perform basic assembly, deburring, and finishing tasks as directed. Support welders, press brake operators, and fabricators by preparing parts and staging materials. Load products for shipment and assist with inventory counts as needed. Complete other general labor tasks assigned by supervisors or lead fabricators.Skills andQualifications: Must be at least 19 years old.High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read fabrication drawings or willingness to learn. Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and shop math helpful. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Prior manufacturing experience helpful but not required; on-the-job-training provided. Work Environment: Indoor steel fabrication shop. Exposure to noise, sparks, heat, and heavy materials. PPE provided and required (helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toes boots or shoes. Shift: Day, M-F, 6:30am-4pm.
