Direct Support Professionals (DSP)

BRAVERHOOD Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Location: Nassau and Suffolk Counties Experience Required: 1 Year Braverhood is currently hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We are looking for compassionate, dependable men and women interested in making a difference in someone's life. We have mainly part-time opportunities. The DSP will provide one-on-one services in the individual's home, not in a group setting. They work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to support their needs, interests, and independence. Community Habilitation (Comhab): This is a one-on-one service focused on helping individuals develop daily living skills, become more independent, and self-sufficient. They would be responsible for taking the individual out into the community and helping him integrate as much as possible Respite: This is provided in the individual's home. The DSP spends time with the individual, participates in activities they enjoy, helps ensure they are happy, comfortable, and safe. Pay rates for these services are $18-$20 hour.
