Your Role

As a Host, you set the tone from the moment guests arrive, making sure every party feels welcomed and guided smoothly into the dining room. You’ll greet guests at the door, escort them to their table, and help keep the front entrance organized during busy periods. You’ll manage the wait list, hand out menus, and answer the phone in a friendly, professional way.

• Warm, clear communication and a customer-first mindset
• Ability to stay calm, accurate, and upbeat in a fast-paced restaurant
• Strong attention to detail and comfort juggling multiple requests

A Typical Shift

You’ll start by getting the front area ready, syncing with the team on expected volume, and setting up your flow for arrivals. As the rush builds, you’ll keep a steady rhythm - welcoming new parties, tracking quoted times, and staying aware of what’s happening in the dining room. Between walk-ins and phone calls, you’ll reset your station, keep things neat, and communicate quick updates so guests feel informed. You’ll wrap up by confirming the last seating, tidying the entry, and handing off any notes for the next shift.
