CNC Programmer

General description

This position is to provide engineering support to all areas of the Mount Union manufacturing facility.

Essential job functions and duties:

• Ability to work with Fanuc controls using G-Code
• Provide support for the rotary transfer machines and CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines.
• Design tooling and fixtures preferred
• Evaluate customer special/custom parts and develop machining programs to ensure manufacturing capability
• Advise manufacturing engineering group on ways to improve machine setup to better efficiency
• Works with manufacturing engineers and industrial engineers to develop and justify Capital Project Expenditures

Job specifications:

• Ability to use Microsoft word and excel
• Knowledge of manual CNC programming
• Strong background in metalworking (machining preferred)
• Ability to communicate clearly verbal and written at all levels
• Experience with high volume production machines
• Work as a team player in an open office environment.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings
• Knowledge of C.N.C. machining and processes
• Must be able to work without close supervision and be self motivated.
• Minimum of five years in similar position
