The Mission
At Beyond New Horizons (BNH), we seek skilled technical professionals to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base, where you will help operate, maintain, and improve the critical infrastructure that makes groundbreaking ground testing possible. You will work with powerful and complex systems, including large electric motors, compressors, industrial control systems, instrumentation, and data-acquisition equipment.
While AEDC does not design the systems being tested, our teams create and sustain the extreme test conditions those test articles must endure. Your work will help ensure test systems are safe, reliable, maintainable, and ready to provide customers with the data needed to validate aerospace system performance and flight worthiness.

A Role with Dynamic Responsibilities
This is a technical role within a systems-management-driven team. You will contribute across the lifecycle of facility and test-support systems - from supporting requirements development and field assessments to assisting with troubleshooting equipment, developing maintenance procedures, and documenting system configuration.

- Support engineers and project teams in the preparation, interpretation, review, and maintenance of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, equipment data sheets, work packages, procedures, calculations, and reports.
- Conduct field walkdowns, equipment inspections, and condition assessments to verify system configuration, identify discrepancies, and support maintenance or modification planning.
- Assist with installation, startup, checkout, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and data-acquisition systems.
- Collect, organize, and analyze equipment-performance, maintenance, and operational data to identify trends, support reliability improvements, and document technical findings.
- Develop or revise maintenance procedures, operating instructions, inspection checklists, equipment records, and other technical work products under established engineering processes and supervisory direction.
- Support procurement and project execution activities by assisting with material identification, equipment evaluations, technical data reviews, cost estimates, field verification, and coordination with vendors or craft personnel.
- Participate in anomaly investigations, troubleshooting efforts, and causal-analysis activities by gathering facts, reviewing available data, documenting findings, and supporting development of corrective actions.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, project management, safety, and craft workforce personnel to support system readiness and planned maintenance activities.
- Communicate technical information, equipment status, maintenance needs, and findings to team members, BNH management, Air Force customers, and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of and comply with applicable safety, quality, configuration-control, maintenance, and work-control processes.
- It is a condition of employment to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
