Product Manager

Turn Technical Expertise into Products That Drive the Industry Forward.

Blue Diamond Attachments | Knoxville, TN | Full-Time, On-Site

Do you enjoy figuring out how things work, challenging how they could work better, and turning complex technical information into smart business decisions?

Are you the person who digs into the details, asks the questions others overlook, and sees opportunities to improve products, processes, and performance?

At Blue Diamond Attachments, we're looking for a Product Manager who combines technical curiosity, analytical thinking, and commercial judgment to help shape the future of our product portfolio.

This isn't a position focused on managing people. It's an opportunity to own product decisions, solve meaningful problems, and build the processes that turn great ideas into successful products.

What You'll Do

As our Product Manager, you'll work at the intersection of Engineering, Sales, Operations, and the customers who put our attachments to work every day.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape Product Strategy: Research customer needs, evaluate competitors, identify market opportunities, and help build our long-term product roadmap.
  • Turn Data into Decisions: Develop business cases, analyze costs and margins, evaluate pricing, and recommend which products we should develop, improve, or retire.
  • Drive Product Launches: Coordinate the commercial side of new product development, ensuring products are positioned, priced, documented, and ready for market.
  • Solve Technical Challenges: Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to evaluate specifications, product performance, quality, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize Our Product Portfolio: Analyze product performance, eliminate unnecessary complexity, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Build Better Systems: Establish repeatable product management tools, processes, and standards that help our team make smarter, faster decisions.
  • Connect Products to Customers: Translate technical features into practical benefits and equip Sales and Product Support teams with the knowledge they need to succeed.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You may be a product management professional, a technically minded business analyst, or an experienced manufacturing professional ready to take greater ownership of product strategy. What matters most is how you think, solve problems, and get results.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy solving complex problems through research, analysis, and logical reasoning.
  • Have a natural curiosity about mechanical products, equipment, and how things work.
  • Are comfortable interpreting technical specifications, drawings, and product data.
  • Appreciate accuracy, organization, and well-designed processes.
  • Can see the big picture without losing sight of important details.
  • Make confident, evidence-based recommendations and aren't afraid to respectfully challenge assumptions.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with people across different disciplines.
  • Take satisfaction in creating structure, improving systems, and seeing projects through to completion.

What You'll Bring

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience, with 5–7+ years of progressive experience in product management, product development, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Industry & Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction, agricultural, or industrial equipment, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and mechanical systems.
  • Product Development & Strategy: Experience managing product lifecycles, conducting market research, analyzing competitors, and developing product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Business & Financial Acumen: Proven ability to develop business cases, evaluate pricing and profitability, analyze market opportunities, and make sound, data-driven recommendations.
  • Systems & Technology: Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills. Experience with ERP systems, Salesforce, private-label suppliers, and stage-gate product development processes is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving & Process Improvement: Strong technical curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex challenges, identify opportunities, and develop efficient, repeatable processes.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, communicate technical concepts clearly, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion through sound judgment and accountability.

Why Blue Diamond?

  • Competitive Pay: On-target earnings between $90,000 - $100,000 DOE.
  • Share in the Success: Monthly profit bonuses.
  • No Nights, No Weekends: Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.
  • Generous Benefits: Free employee medical insurance, H.S.A. match up to $1,200/year, plus dental, vision, accident, and critical illness coverage.
  • Time to Recharge: Paid holidays and generous PTO to support your work-life balance.
  • Career Growth: Opportunities to learn, grow, and advance within a thriving company.

This is a unique opportunity to help establish and shape our product management function - not simply step into an existing process.

If you're energized by technical challenges, strategic problem-solving, and building better products through smarter decisions, we'd like to meet you. Apply today and help shape what's next.
