Senior Engineer

As an Engineer Senior on the RMN DevOps team, you will design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms that support Retail Media Network products and services. You will leverage AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and observability practices to improve platform reliability, automation, and engineering productivity.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What You’ll fo

• Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and support Kubernetes/EKS-based workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
• Automate operational processes and improve platform efficiency.
• Support production readiness, incident response, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Partner with engineering teams on cloud modernization and platform delivery.

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS.
• 3+ years of experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• 2+ years of experience supporting production environments, incident management, and operational readiness.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• AWS or equivalent cloud certification.
• Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps practices.
• Experience with Dynatrace, ELK, or similar observability platforms.
• Exposure to Azure and GCP.
• Experience supporting Retail Media, AdTech, MarTech, or Digital Commerce platforms
