Original job description

We are recruiting a Supplier Relations Manager on behalf of a national energy and sustainability solutions company that provides integrated energy solutions to their customers in a broad range of industries.

As a Supplier Relations Manager, you will identify, onboard and manage the supplier and OEM partners behind the company's OFCI projects for medium voltage electrical equipment (wire/cable, fiberglass conduit, switchgear, transformers, and substation electrical equipment). Where the sales team owns the customer, this role owns the supplier: securing capacity, pricing, lead times and technical support that let us win and deliver projects. This role blends technical knowledge, partner development and account management within industries like utilities, data centers and industrial.

The company's office is located in Northern Atlanta, GA.

Benefits:

  • Salary: $120k - $140k/year. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply - we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.
  • Performance Bonus / Commission
  • 3 weeks PTO
  • 11 paid holidays & the office closes the week of Christmas.
  • 1 week volunteer time off (VTO)
  • Healthcare, Dental & Vision
  • 401(k) plan
  • Reimbursed travel and entertainment expenses
  • Opportunity for growth
  • Other excellent benefits!

What You'll Do:

  • Supplier development: Identify, qualify, and onboard OEMs and distributors for medium voltage equipment, building a bench that covers our product lines and regions.
  • Relationship management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key suppliers, with regular business reviews, executive alignment, and clear escalation paths.
  • Commercial negotiation: Work alongside internal legal counsel, negotiate pricing and secure production slots and capacity reservations for long lead-time items like transformers and switchgear; support project development in finalizing payment terms, warranties, and frame or volume agreements.
  • Quote support: Partner with sales and project development to get timely, competitive, technically compliant supplier quotes for RFPs, RFIs, and bid packages.
  • Order and delivery support: Support project development in managing suppliers from purchase order through delivery, helping track lead times, submittals, factory acceptance testing, and ship dates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in supplier management, procurement, OEM channel management, or technical sales of electrical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of medium voltage equipment: switchgear, transformers, cable, conduit, and substation components.
  • Proven record negotiating commercial agreements and managing multi-million-dollar supplier relationships.
  • Experience in utility, data center, or industrial markets strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills; comfortable working with both engineers and executives.
  • Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel to supplier facilities and factory tests (~ 50%)
