• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

• Life and long-term disability coverage, with FSA and HSA account options.

• 401(k) / retirement plan benefits.

• Accrued paid time off (PTO) and 8 paid holidays.

• Company fleet service vehicle with fuel card (daily road travel within territory; no overnight travel anticipated).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment modifications, overhauls, and warranty/campaign services on commercial and industrial generators.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain compression-ignition (diesel) and spark-ignited (gaseous) internal combustion engines.

• Inspect, test, and service electrical distribution systems, wiring schematics, connection diagrams, and automatic transfer switches (ATS).

• Conduct dynamic load bank testing, towing, and startup commissioning on large commercial, industrial, and Modular Power Systems (MPS).

• Generate and submit comprehensive work reports in FieldServio within 24 hours of job completion, communicating diagnostic findings clearly via phone, email, and in person.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–4+ years of professional experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing standby generators.

• Prior experience working on Generac or other major industrial OEM systems (such as CAT, Cummins, Kohler/Rehlko, MTU, Detroit, John Deere, or Perkins).

• Strong mechanical and electrical proficiency, including AC/DC circuitry, electromechanical systems, digital controls, and transfer switch operations.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted (and up to 100 lbs with assistance) and working in adverse outdoor weather conditions (heat, snow, ice).
