City of Belfast Employment Opportunity City Treasurer The City of Belfast, a vibrant, development-focused community of 7,000 located in midcoast Maine, seeks a full-time City Treasurer. This position is responsible for a broad range of municipal and administrative functions including cash management, internal financial controls, accounts payable, payroll, benefit records, retirement contributions, financial reporting, financial reconciliations, municipal budget, annual audit, and support operations of City Administration under the general supervision of the City Manager. The City Treasurer must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, accounting practices and computerized recordkeeping. Must be a proactive self-learner with flexibility and motivation to succeed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity. This is a range 11 position ($69,513.60-$93,870.40 annual salary) dependent on experience, in addition to a competitive benefits package. The schedule for this position is a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 6 PM and occasional Council Meeting and Budget Hearing attendance.
