Plasma Table Operator

The Plasma Table Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CNC plasma cutting equipment used to produce high-quality components for manufacturing and fabrication. This position loads material, operates the machine, verifies part quality, performs routine maintenance, and works closely with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met while maintaining production schedules.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment in accordance with production schedules and work instructions. * Load and unload steel plate, sheet metal, and structural materials using forklifts, cranes, or other approved lifting equipment. * Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and cut files. * Verify material type, thickness, and dimensions before processing. * Load machine programs and confirm proper machine setup prior to production. * Monitor cutting operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and consistent quality. * Inspect completed parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring equipment. * Remove slag, clean parts, and prepare components for secondary fabrication or welding operations. * Identify quality concerns and report nonconforming materials or production issues immediately. * Perform routine preventive maintenance, including replacing consumables, cleaning equipment, and monitoring machine performance. * Maintain accurate production records and report completed work. * Assist other fabrication and manufacturing departments as workload requires. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following established 5S principles. * Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
