Construction will require as much steel as eight Eiffel Towers and as much concrete as the tallest skyscrapers.

Job Summary:
The Piping Field Engineer - Testing supports the project pressure testing program for piping, tubing, and components. Reporting to the Lead Pipe Testing Field Engineer, you will prepare test packages, perform readiness walkdowns, and support the execution and documentation of hydrostatic, pneumatic, and service/leak tests for assigned systems.
The successful applicant will work closely with piping superintendents, direct hire craft, Quality Control, and construction turnover personnel to ensure testing is performed safely and in accordance with applicable codes, project specifications, and Standard Work Process Procedures, and that tested systems are restored and ready for turnover.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare pressure test packages under the direction of the Lead Pipe Testing Field Engineer, including test boundaries, marked-up isometrics and P&IDs, test pressures and media, line lists, and weld and NDE status.
- Perform test package readiness walkdowns to verify completion of welding, NDE, PWHT, supports, and punch items prior to testing.
- Support the execution of hydrostatic, pneumatic, sensitive leak, and service tests in accordance with SWPP 4MP-T81-03506, Pressure Testing of Piping, Tubing and Components, project specifications, and applicable codes.
- Verify test equipment is in place and suitable for use, including test pumps, gauges and recorders with current calibration, relief devices, blinds, temporary spools, and test manifolds.
- Assist in the preparation of stored energy and exclusion zone calculations for pneumatic tests and verify required safety controls are in place before testing begins.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, the Authorized Inspector, and the client for test witnessing and sign-off, and document test failures, leaks, and required repairs.
- Track removal of temporary test materials and the reinstatement of instruments, valves, and in-line components following testing.
- Support post-test draining, drying, flushing, and cleaning activities to prevent corrosion and microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC).
- Maintain test records, status logs, and daily reporting, and provide progress updates to the Lead Pipe Testing Field Engineer.
- Interpret design drawings and specifications and raise design and constructability issues to the engineering office through the appropriate field engineering channels.
- Work closely with other discipline field engineers and the construction turnover team to support system turnover and punch list closure.
- Complete training requirements assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university, 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
