Job Summary:

The Innovation Enterprise Solution Deployment Manager reports directly to the Chief Innovation Officer and puts proven enterprise solutions to work across Bechtel's project backlog. Working with the EPC functions and the five GBU Managers of Innovation, the role matches the right solution to the right project, clears the path for adoption, and makes Bechtel's innovation footprint visible to leaders and customers. Success is measured by capability transferred into the business, not by a P&L.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Deploy proven and pilot ready enterprise solutions across the project backlog with the EPC functions and GBU Managers of Innovation.
  • Work closely with the five GBU Managers of Innovation, Project Managers of Innovation, GBU Solution Development, and GBU Solution Deployment teams, and the EPC functions.
  • Prioritize projects that are starting, have the most productivity pressure, or have customers asking for innovation.
  • Match ambition to the project: implement proven solutions on fast, smaller sites and carry development work on long, multi-phase programs.
  • Develop deployment playbooks, training, and field support so project teams can adopt solutions with minimal disruption.
  • Establish fast-lane paths through IT, procurement, security, and IP reviews for proven solutions, with the owning functions.
  • Work with the EPC functions to update procedures and work processes so proven solutions become standard practice.
  • Position innovation with project teams and customers as a way to de-risk delivery.
  • Track adoption, capability transferred, and the enterprise innovation footprint, including project-level innovation spend.
  • Produce customer-facing innovation reporting for proposals, client reviews, and project teams.
  • Feed lessons learned and field requirements back to Enterprise Development and Optimization & Scaling.
  • Share project-team results with Culture & Engagement to build adoption stories and recognition.
  • Travel to GBU offices and project sites to launch deployments and support field teams.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, construction management, or a related field and 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years leading teams or programs, or 18 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with large construction project execution.
  • Multi-discipline knowledge across project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls.
  • Experience as a change agent, leading people and teams through new ways of working.
  • Cross-functional and cross-business experience, including work across more than one GBU or function.
  • Familiarity with Bechtel's work processes and procedures.
  • Experience leading the rollout of tools, systems, or work-process changes across multiple projects or sites.
  • Working knowledge of project controls and project reporting.
  • Ability to travel to GBU offices and project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Controls or portfolio reporting experience.
  • Large-scale technology rollout experience.
  • Customer-facing experience, including proposals or client reporting.
  • Field Construction or Startup experience.
  • Experience working through IT, Procurement, and Security review processes.
