BUS DRIVER / PART-TIME

We're looking for a dependable, caring, and safety-focused professional to join our team! TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY!

This position is more than driving. You'll help clients safely travel to and from our Day Program while building positive relationships and providing support along the way.

POSITION DETAILS

• **Monday--Friday ** (Approximately 6:45--9:15 AM & 1:30--4:00 PM)
• Schedule may vary based on routes and client needs

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Safely transport clients to and from the Day Program
• Assist clients with boarding, riding, and exiting the vehicle
• Work with Bus Aides and Day Program staff
• Follow assigned routes, traffic laws, and safety procedures
• Complete vehicle inspections and required documentation
• Communicate delays, incidents, and safety concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming vehicle
• Respond calmly to unexpected situations
• Treat every client with dignity, respect, and professionalism

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Meet Bear-O Care insurance and driver authorization requirements
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days
• Able to communicate effectively and follow instructions
• Able to lift, carry, push, or move up to 75 pounds

Preferred: Experience driving passenger vehicles or working with individuals with disabilities. Spanish and/or ASL skills are a plus!
