At Barton, we don’t just build systems; we build careers where every employee has a stake in the outcome. Barton Associates is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to lead full-cycle recruiting across our offices and help build the talent pipelines that support our growth. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this individual will partner with senior leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing priorities, engage qualified candidates, and guide hiring decisions. This role combines recruiting strategy with hands-on execution, including direct sourcing, candidate assessment, interview coordination, and offer negotiation. We welcome senior-level candidates who bring extensive recruiting experience, strong industry relationships, and the ability to advise leadership on complex hiring needs. Title and scope may reflect the selected candidate’s experience.
- This role can be based in any of our Pennsylvania locations (Philadelphia, York, State College or Pittsburgh) *
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership and hiring managers. Translate business priorities and staffing needs into focused recruiting plans with clear candidate requirements, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting. Lead the process from intake meetings and job description development through sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and the transition to onboarding.
- Source and engage passive talent. Use LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, employee referrals, industry associations, and targeted outreach to connect with qualified professionals.
- Build lasting talent pipelines. Develop relationships with candidates for current openings and future needs, particularly for specialized engineering, design, and technical positions.
- Coordinate recruiting across offices. Serve as a central recruiting resource, providing consistent communication, timely follow-up, and a professional candidate experience.
- Guide candidate assessment and selection. Help hiring teams evaluate relevant experience, technical qualifications, and alignment with role expectations using consistent, job-related criteria.
- Provide market insight. Advise HR and hiring leaders on talent availability, compensation expectations, competitive conditions, and opportunities to strengthen recruiting results.
- Represent Barton’s employee ownership culture. Clearly communicate our work, career opportunities, collaborative environment, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
- Track results and improve the process. Maintain accurate applicant records and report on pipeline activity, candidate engagement, time to fill, offer acceptance, and sourcing effectiveness.
Requirements
- Five or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including direct sourcing and engagement of passive candidates. Candidates with substantial senior-level experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience recruiting in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) is strongly preferred; experience with MEP consulting engineering or related technical roles is particularly valuable.
- Recruiting agency or search firm experience is preferred, ideally including at least two years of targeted sourcing and relationship development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple searches, balance competing priorities, and maintain momentum on difficult-to-fill positions.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and other sourcing tools.
- Ability to build credibility with senior leaders, advise hiring managers, and turn market information into practical recruiting decisions.
- Strong interviewing, written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and a collaborative approach to working with candidates and colleagues.
