Pharmacy Technician 1 - Full Time

Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Pharmacy Technician 1 to join our Pharmacy team!

Pay Information:

Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms.

External Hires: This position starts at $23.68 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician 1 performs entry-level technical and supportive duties related to medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and pharmacy operations. This position assists in ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical services throughout the organization while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Pharmacy Technician I works collaboratively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other staff to support quality patient care and efficient pharmacy operations. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining competency in hospital pharmacy practice, medication distribution systems, and pharmacy technology applications.

Minimum Qualifications for the position:

Pharmacy Technician 1

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience: None

• Preferred Experience: Previous customer service preferred

• License(s) Required: State of Alaska Pharmacy Technician License

• Certification(s) Preferred: PTCB Certification
