Certified Surgical Tech (CST)

Under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services, and a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist works intra operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgeon environment for the patients. The Surgical Technologist will perform as a team member for the common good of the patient take responsibility for personal action.

Education: High school graduate or Certification from national association of surgical technologist

Certification from National Association of Surgical Technologist required

CPR certification required (must obtain within 2 months of hire) Experience: - One year experience in a main operating room within the last two years preferred - Basic knowledge of scrub role - Handling of instruments, set up, anticipates surgeons needs - Knowledge of autoclaves - Transporting patients
