Nursing Assistant (PCT / HUC) | 2H ICU, Cardiovascular ICU

Unit Description:

2H ICU is a 12-bed cardio/thoracic ICU unit. This unit services post-op cardiac surgery patients, cardiac intervention, unstable post-op patients requiring direct ICU admission and complex care ICU patients.

Job Description:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC):

provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursingprocedures.

routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA)required orsuccessful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.

Basic life support- Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon'thave it already.
