Machinist position at Baker Tool & Die involves working on a large variety of Lathes, Milling Machines and Drill Presses (Vertical and Horizontal machines, both Manual and CNC. Training is available on all equipment as needed. We function in the tradition of Toolroom machinist, where the machinist will move from machine to machine as the orders dictate. We are a specialty shop and run generally low volume custom orders. We often turn large diameters up to 80 (diameter). Lifting and handling equipment is utilized when needed. Machinists routinely do their own setups, problem solving and troubleshooting. The materials we generally work with include Stainless Steel. Steel, Bronze etc.
