About the Role:
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Material Handlers to join our steel fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, handling, and organization of steel materials and fabricated products throughout our facility. Your work will be essential to keeping our production lines running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport raw steel materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products throughout the facilities and locations. Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring materials are properly stacked, labeled, and accessible. Prepare materials for production by delivering steel stock to cutting, welding, and fabrication stations as needed. Inspect materials for quality issues, damage, or discrepancies and report any concerns to supervisors. Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including loading trucks and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and housekeeping standards. Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
