Direct Support Professional

responsible for promoting a safe and healthy learning environment for individuals, assisting with their independent living skills, advocating on medical appointments, initiating and following through on community and leisure time activities, supervising and assisting in medication administration, maintaining home cleanliness, and assisting with cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Additionally, DSPs will be required to attend to all personal care needs such as toileting, dental hygiene, bathing, feeding, repositioning, lifting, and transferring individuals who utilize wheelchairs. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate ISP data in Therapy according to Medicaid standards, maintaining all necessary training including CPR and First Aid, attending staff meetings as required, and completing all other tasks as assigned
