Cook

AVI Foodsystems at Aultman Orrville Hospital is seeking an applicant for a Full-time Cook with open & closing shift availablility. Starting pay rate will be based on level of experience and education with weekend pay incentives included. The candidate will be part of a team that cooks from scratch for our Patients and Guests. Applicants should have an understanding of basic food safety. Positive attitude, teamwork, a desire to succeed, and the ability to get things done are a must.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide quality food products consistently by following directions and adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
• Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep production consistent to our standards and to set a positive example for the shift team
• Have a desire to learn and grow.
• Follow AVI operational policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Maintain and foster positive and professional working relationships
• Other duties and responsibilities as necessary
• Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
• Contributes to positive team environment
• Works with an exceptional Culinary Team including an experienced Executive Chef.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of cooking experience
• Required to follow and give written and verbal instructions
• Ability to learn quickly and work well independently
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
• Ability to work as part of a team

Qualifications

• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
• Available to perform many different tasks during each shift.
