Downstream Technician

Downstream Technician – $17+ DOE

Full-Time | 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available

Are you a dependable and detail-oriented individual looking for a hands-on job in manufacturing? If so, this job is for you! A local manufacturing facility around the Sheldon, IA area is looking for a Downstream Technician to join their team. In this role, you will handle and coil pipe as it comes off the production line, ensuring finished coils are properly wrapped, secured, and moved safely.

Responsibilities:

• Handle and coil single-wall and dual-wall pipe as it comes off the production line.
• Prepare spools with cores and strings for the coiling process.
• Monitor finished coils to ensure they are wrapped neatly, tightly, and consistently.
• Move finished coils to the designated outdoor storage area.
• Inspect product quality and communicate any issues to the operator or supervisor.
• Complete required production tracking records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with grinding operations and training new employees as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work full-time, including overtime or shift changes as needed.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
