Position Overview Autodesk is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Revit Cloud work sharing team. Our cloud services help architects and engineers collaborate on complex building projects around the world.

You will build and operate reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure across numerous environments and regions, and improve the automation and practices that keep it running. You will work on complex challenges while collaborating closely with engineering, platform, security, and operations partners. Your work will directly support service availability, customer trust, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Build and Deliver

  • Design, implement, and evolve infrastructure and supporting services across multiple environments and regions
  • Use Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices to deliver secure, maintainable changes and support infrastructure modernization
  • Contribute to technical and architectural decisions, balancing reliability, scalability, security, cost, and delivery needs

Operate and Protect

  • Maintain the availability, performance, and resilience of customer-facing cloud services through monitoring, on-call participation, and incident response
  • Investigate complex production issues, distinguish root causes from symptoms, and implement sustainable fixes
  • Apply secure operational practices and partner with security, Trust, and compliance specialists to meet evolving requirements and minimize customer disruption

Improve and Automate

  • Build automation and repeatable processes that improve operational consistency across many environments and regions
  • Improve observability, runbooks, recovery readiness, operational workflows, and cloud resource efficiency to reduce risk and manual effort
  • Share knowledge, contribute to reviews and retrospectives, and collaborate across teams to improve how services are built and operated

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in DevOps, site reliability, cloud infrastructure, or a related engineering discipline, including hands-on operation of production cloud services
  • Practical experience with AWS, infrastructure automation or Infrastructure as Code, and scripting or programming for operational tasks
  • Working knowledge of software delivery practices, cloud security fundamentals, monitoring, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex work, make informed technical trade-offs, communicate clearly, and work effectively both independently and with others
  • Relevant experience may come from different technical stacks and environments; familiarity with every tool or service is not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Operating highly available SaaS services or infrastructure deployed across multiple regions
  • Working with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch
  • Applying SRE practices, improving cloud efficiency, or using AI-assisted tools and reusable agents/workflows to streamline engineering tasks
  • Experience working in agile teams
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams

The Ideal Candidate

  • You take responsibility for reliable outcomes, communicate risks early, and seek practical solutions that protect customers
  • You bring curiosity and openness to different perspectives, contribute constructively to decisions, and make space for others to participate
  • You simplify complex operations, learn from incidents, share what you learn, and help teammates and partner teams succeed

Why Join Us? Revit Cloud Worksharing supports collaboration on complex building projects worldwide. You will help evolve critical cloud services, tackle meaningful distributed-systems challenges, and work with partners who value customer success, collaboration, and continuous improvement. If that work interests you, we encourage you to apply.
