We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our Custodial Maintenance team at our El Paso, Texas location! This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment throughout our facility. We have openings on both 1st and 2nd shift!

Job Description:

• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked supply areas.
• Clean interior and exterior areas of the facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down equipment.
• Empty trash receptacles and consolidate waste for scheduled pickup.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms daily and replenish restroom supplies as needed.
• Mix and handle cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Clean dust collectors and replace filters as needed.
• Monitor and maintain oil levels on production machinery.
• Check and maintain fuel levels on forklifts and golf carts.
• Properly clean and disinfect areas involving bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.
• Maintain exterior walkways by removing debris and addressing weather-related hazards as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals, hazardous materials, and equipment.
• Demonstrate a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude while completing assigned duties.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to stay productive with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to recognize problems, use sound judgment, and make appropriate decisions.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate or maintain equipment as needed.
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials.
• General understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
• Positive attitude and professional conduct.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 8-hour shifts.
• Frequent reaching and repetitive arm movements while sweeping, mopping, wiping, and cleaning.
• Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds from floors, carts, and shelves.
• Ability to work around cleaning chemicals and potentially hazardous materials while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to perform outdoor duties in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
• Ability to work in industrial environments that may not be climate-controlled.
