We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time school-based position in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support diverse learners.
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate educational documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Valid or eligible Texas teaching license with an appropriate Special Education endorsement.
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education instructional practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Previous school-based special education experience is preferred.
