Occupational Therapist (OT) | Full-Time | Middle School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time school-based position serving Middle School students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students develop the skills necessary for academic success, independence, and participation in school activities while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Position Details:

• Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Grade Level: Middle School
• Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to middle school students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Evaluate students' fine motor, sensory processing, visual motor, and functional skills to determine therapy needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records.
• Participate in eligibility, evaluation, and IEP meetings as required.
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, accommodations, and modifications to support student participation.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding strategies to support student needs.
• Promote student independence and participation in educational activities and daily school routines.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Knowledge of special education procedures, IEP development, and school-based therapy practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
• Previous school-based occupational therapy experience is preferred.
