Job Description:
Join a vibrant medical-surgical unit in Fremont, where you’ll step into a role that combines steady hands with keen judgment. This 17-week contract centers on caring for a diverse patient population primarily dealing with medical diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, and dehydration. You’ll work 12-hour day shifts, providing essential care to patients with conditions like urinary tract infections, pleural effusions, and hepatic encephalopathy. The environment offers the chance to manage a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5, including some total care patients requiring titrated heparin. While monitoring is supported by Philips systems, you’ll primarily focus on hands-on patient care, equipped with your BLS and ACLS certifications. This assignment is perfect for experienced Med/Surg RNs seeking a dynamic experience in a supportive team setting - note that you’ll be part of a team where the charge nurse handles assignments and staff are provided with scrubs, shoes, and coverage for tattoos.
