Job Description:
Join a busy cardiac telemetry unit in Wilmington, North Carolina, where you’ll be crucial in monitoring cardiac patients, from those with congestive heart failure to those post-cardiac cath. This 13-week contract involves night shifts, working three 12-hour overnight shifts per week, with a focus on fast-paced, high-acuity care. You’ll be responsible for managing cardiac drips, sheaths pulls, and other specialized procedures, all while working in a setting that keeps your skills sharp and your experience meaningful. The role demands strong cardiac telemetry expertise and certifications like ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS, along with at least two years of relevant experience. Expect to work in a team-oriented environment where rapid response is key, and adapting to unit needs - including float coverage - is part of the job. No RTO after booking and additional requests may impact scheduling, so flexibility is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for travel nurses eager to challenge themselves and make a difference in a dynamic cardiac setting.
