Job Description:
This travel nursing assignment places you on a cardiac and medical telemetry unit caring for patients with conditions including heart failure, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal concerns, diabetes, stroke-related conditions, post-cardiac catheterization needs, and total joint replacements. You will interpret and document telemetry strips each shift, care for patients using CPAP or BiPAP, administer breathing treatments, and manage set-rate diltiazem infusions when indicated. The schedule follows 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with self-scheduling balanced across four-week schedules. The assignment includes one unit orientation shift, floating when qualified, and a steady mix of medical, cardiac, and post-procedure care.
Weather:
Expect generally cool, dry conditions with plenty of sunshine, comfortable daytime temperatures, and crisp evenings. The high-desert setting can bring noticeable temperature changes from day to night, making layers useful for exploring the area.

- Downtown Stroll: Explore Prescott’s historic courthouse plaza, local shops, galleries, and restaurants.
- Granite Dells: Hike among distinctive granite formations and enjoy scenic views near Watson Lake.
- Day Trip - Jerome: Visit this hillside historic town for art galleries, mountain views, and distinctive local character.
