This travel contract is for an experienced Registered Nurse supporting a 32-bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit in Bakersfield. You will care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical needs including bariatric and total joint procedures, urology, gynecology, podiatry, general surgery, stroke, and potential oncology diagnoses. The role includes interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing set-rate drips, supporting patients using CPAP or BiPAP as ordered, and caring for a high volume of admissions and discharges. Expect 12-hour day shifts, structured shift huddles, bedside shift reporting, intentional hourly rounding, and a team-oriented setting where every shift has a clear rhythm of its own.
