Original job description
Job Description:
This travel assignment is designed for a Registered Nurse with recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience. You will care for patients across oncology, medical-surgical, telemetry, and vascular access services while working 12-hour night shifts. Choose a 3×12 or 4×12 schedule, with every other weekend, required holidays during the contract, and floating included. Chesapeake’s coastal location places you close to beaches, waterways, and outdoor recreation - an appealing setting for a traveler who enjoys exploring between shifts.
Weather:
Expect crisp coastal conditions with cool temperatures, occasional rain, and a mix of cloudy and sunny days. The area typically remains comfortable for walks, sightseeing, and outdoor activities when layered appropriately.
Fun Things To Do:
- Virginia Beach: Relax along the oceanfront, explore the boardwalk, and enjoy waterfront dining.
- Norfolk: Visit the waterfront, browse local museums, and explore the city’s arts and cultural attractions.
- Day Trip - Colonial Williamsburg: Step into Virginia’s early American history through restored streets, historic sites, and living-history experiences.
- Day Trip - Outer Banks: Spend a day on the barrier islands enjoying beaches, coastal scenery, and small seaside communities.
- Day Trip - Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge: Hike or paddle through wooded trails, wetlands, and peaceful wildlife habitat.
