Original job description
Job Description:
This 16-week travel nursing assignment in Burlington, Vermont, is designed for an experienced nurse with a strong neurosurgical and surgical background. You will primarily support a neurosurgical and surgical unit while floating through medical-surgical and telemetry areas, with possible assignments in hematology, oncology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurology, ENT, GYN, ED boarding, and other areas requiring comparable skills. The role includes 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekend coverage, and schedule flexibility based on unit needs. Travelers float first, so adaptability is essential. Reliable transportation is recommended, and Burlington’s scenic surroundings offer plenty of opportunities to trade a night shift for a refreshing change of scenery.
Weather:
Expect crisp, cool conditions with a mix of cloudy skies, rain, and occasional snow. Temperatures can vary throughout the day, so warm layers and weather-ready footwear are useful for exploring Burlington and the surrounding area.
Fun Things To Do:
- Waterfront: Walk along Lake Champlain and enjoy scenic views, parks, and sunset strolls.
- Downtown: Browse local shops, restaurants, and entertainment around Church Street Marketplace.
- Day Trip: Visit Shelburne Museum for art, history, and changing exhibitions.
