Original job description

Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment is for a registered nurse caring for adults on medical-surgical and telemetry units. You will monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, assess changing conditions, and provide hands-on care throughout rotating day and night shifts. The assignment may include floating to other units or the emergency department to support patients with similar needs. Travelers should be prepared for 12-hour shifts that may vary according to operational needs, while the facility will make every effort to honor preferred scheduling. Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments - consider it a quick skills check before settling into the rhythm of the unit.

Weather:

Cleveland usually offers cool, crisp weather around this time of year, with a mix of cloudy skies, occasional rain, and brisk conditions near Lake Erie. Comfortable layers and a water-resistant jacket are useful for exploring between shifts.

Fun Things To Do:

  • Music and History: Visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
  • Local Flavor: Browse the vendors and eateries at West Side Market.
  • Art and Culture: Explore the Cleveland Museum of Art.
  • Day Trip: Hike the trails and enjoy scenic views in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
  • Day Trip: Spend a day exploring the Lake Erie shoreline and nearby waterfront communities.

Job Specifics:

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; scheduled as 3 shifts per week, generally 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Duration: 36 hours per week for 13 weeks
