Original job description
Job Description:
Join a 13-week travel assignment in Long Beach as a Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse caring for adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit. You will monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, care for patients before and after cardiac procedures, and respond with rapid response and code teams when needed. The assignment includes floating to medical-surgical areas and emergency department holds, with every-other-weekend coverage as needed. This role requires two years of cardiac telemetry experience, BLS, NIHSS, and EKG testing, along with EPIC documentation and SBAR communication. Navy blue or solid-color scrubs are required.
Weather:
Long Beach typically offers mild, comfortable weather with plenty of sunshine, cool coastal breezes, and comfortable daytime temperatures. Evenings can be cooler near the water, so a light layer is useful for exploring after a shift.
Fun Things To Do:
- Waterfront: Explore Shoreline Village, the marina, and the scenic Rainbow Harbor area.
- Aquarium: Visit the Aquarium of the Pacific for marine exhibits and interactive displays.
- Day Trip: Take the ferry to Catalina Island for hiking, coastal views, and harbor activities.
- Day Trip: Spend the day in Santa Monica enjoying the pier, beaches, and oceanfront paths.
- Arts and Culture: Visit the Long Beach Museum of Art and walk along nearby oceanfront trails.
