Job Description
Take your nursing experience on the road with a 13-week contract assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role is designed for an experienced Registered Nurse who is comfortable caring for cardiac medical-surgical and intermediate-care patients, including those recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures, stent or pacemaker placement, cardiac surgery, valve replacement, and other cardiac conditions.
On 12-hour night shifts, you will manage post-procedural recovery, chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure, and temporary pacemaker patients while titrating ordered drips such as nitroglycerin, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and dobutamine. The unit has 24/7 central telemetry monitoring, respiratory therapy support, and no call requirement unless picking up an extra shift. Weekend and holiday coverage is every other, with floating based on unit needs. This assignment keeps your cardiac skills sharp while giving you a change of scenery.
Candidates should have at least two years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital setting, including experience with post-cath lab patients, TR band compression devices, chest pain, and post-cardiac surgery care. ACLS and BLS are required.
