Job Description:

Join a rewarding step-down nursing role in Hazard, Kentucky, where you’ll work in a 34-bed PCU unit providing specialized care to patients recovering from acute conditions. This 13-week contract offers a unique chance to hone your skills in a focused setting, with every other weekend off to enjoy some local charm. The position involves rotating night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) within a team that values expertise in med-surg nursing and requires current experience in a similar environment. You’ll use Meditech EMR daily, and you’ll need to hold an active Kentucky or compact nursing license, along with AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications. Every day brings new challenges, and your float responsibilities will be within your scope of practice, giving you diverse experiences without leaving the unit. This role is perfect for those seeking a focused, fast-paced assignment in a supportive team.
