Job Description

Join a cardiac-focused contract assignment in Cheyenne as a Registered Nurse supporting a high-acuity cardiovascular and cardiothoracic unit. You’ll care for patients before and after heart catheterizations, cardioversions, stent and PCI procedures, CABG and vascular surgeries, as well as patients with NSTEMI, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and noninvasive ventilation needs. This is a great opportunity to work at the heart of complex cardiac care while practicing alongside monitor technicians, respiratory therapy, nurse aides, and an experienced clinical team.

The assignment includes 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., with block scheduling and self-scheduling available. Nurses should be experienced with pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures. BLS and ACLS are required; NIHSS is preferred. Some medication drips are titrated, including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and Integrilin. Weekend and holiday coverage follows a rotation, with no call or standby requirement.

Weather

Cheyenne typically offers crisp, comfortable conditions with plenty of sunshine, cool mornings, and mild afternoons. Pack layers so you can enjoy the outdoors comfortably as temperatures shift throughout the day.
