Original job description
Job Description:
Join a dedicated team at a surgical PCU on the night shift for a 13-week contract. This role requires a registered nurse with at least 2 years of experience, proficient in cardiac monitoring, managing chest tubes, and caring for patients with complex post-op needs such as epidurals and feeding tubes. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, with the possibility of floating to different care levels, including Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU, as needed. The setting offers a fast-paced environment comparable to ICU acuity, providing an engaging challenge for experienced nurses ready to make a difference in a teaching hospital environment. Expect to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, support students’ learning, and adapt to varying patient needs.
