RN: PCU/IMC/Stepdown

Job Description:

This 13-week contract position offers a unique opportunity for registered nurses to work in a hospital setting focused on neuro and progressive care. The role involves night shifts, primarily 12-hour rotations, with the chance to float across various divisions including overflow and emergency department holds. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience, familiarity with Epic, and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Expect a patient ratio of 1:4, occasionally 1:5, in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and technical skill are key. This assignment provides an engaging challenge for nurses eager to expand their expertise in neuro and PCU care, all while enjoying the vibrant rhythms of healthcare delivery at night.

Job Specifics:

Location: Wichita Falls, TX

Shift: Night, 12-hour rotating (18:45 – 07:15)

Duration: 13 weeks

Hours per week: 48 hours, includes 2-3 holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve

Weekly Gross Pay: Approximately $2,899.80

This position offers a guaranteed 72 hours per week, with flexible floating across divisions to support hospital needs. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced neuro PCU setting, capable of managing overflow and emergency holds, and prepared to work rotating holidays. Certification in CPI is preferred, and all required certifications and RTO information must be submitted prior to acceptance.
