RN: PCU/IMC/Stepdown

Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract places you in a specialized PCU stepdown unit in Shreveport, LA, working 12-hour night shifts. You will be taking on a vital role managing patients with complex conditions such as CVA/TIA, spinal surgeries, AFIB/RVR, DKA, and COPD. The environment offers the chance to hone your skills in titratable gtts, chest tube management, tracheostomies, and cardiac monitoring, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced RN travelers who thrive in fast-paced, specialized settings. You’ll work alongside a supportive team with various hospital resources like in-house phlebotomy, RT, and hospitalist support. The unit’s traveler-friendly culture promises a welcoming atmosphere for first-time travelers with the required minimum of two years of recent acute care experience.
