Job Description:

This travel assignment is designed for an experienced PACU or pre/post-operative Registered Nurse caring for patients before and after cardiac procedures. You will support cases including left and right heart catheterizations, TAVR, ablations, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, loop recorder placements, pacemakers, and vascular procedures. The 10-hour daytime schedule offers either an early or later start, based on experience and manager discussion. During an emergency event, the unit may assign you to an emergency or relief team, with an expectation to remain available as directed until the event has passed. Royal blue or white scrubs are required.

  • Garden District: Walk beneath mature trees and view historic homes along the neighborhood’s scenic streets.
  • Swamp Day Trip: Take a guided excursion through the surrounding wetlands and look for native wildlife.
  • Plantation Day Trip: Visit historic plantation grounds and learn about the region’s complex history.
  • Mississippi River Cruise: Enjoy views of New Orleans from the water during a sightseeing or dinner cruise.
