RN: PACU

Job Description:

Join a pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team in Norfolk, Virginia, caring for children recovering from procedures ranging from EGDs, MRI scans, and tonsillectomies to spinal fusions, cardiac catheterizations, and other complex surgeries. You will manage Phase 1 and Stepdown recovery, with a focus on airway management, vital-sign assessment, medication administration, Modified Aldrete scoring, discharge teaching, and close post-anesthesia monitoring. Experience with arterial lines, tracheostomies, home ventilators, Precedex drips, chest tubes, drains, and Foley catheters is valuable. Pediatric PACU experience is required. Call coverage may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
