Job Description
This 13-week travel assignment is designed for an Operating Room Registered Nurse ready to circulate a broad range of surgical cases in a rural community setting. You will support general, orthopedic, podiatry, gynecologic, obstetric, endoscopic, and urologic procedures, including laparoscopic and open cases. The department averages approximately 8–10 cases per day and does not perform robotics, neuro, or high-level trauma cases.
The role includes circulating cases, transporting patients, assisting with room turnover, and learning pre-op and post-case recovery responsibilities. During call, you will monitor cardiac rhythms, recover patients after procedures, and respond within 20 minutes. The assignment includes overnight call coverage, with orientation provided before independent call responsibilities begin. Cerner experience is preferred, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
