Job Description:
This 13-week travel contract offers OR professionals a chance to work in a well-equipped surgical center located in Bridgeport, West Virginia. You’ll be responsible for assisting in all areas of the OR, including vascular, general, ortho, neuro, eyes, and ENT cases - excluding open hearts. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, four days a week, with cross-training to Endo and participation in call rotations. Unique to this assignment is the recent integration of the DaVinci Robot, providing exposure to robotic-assisted surgeries, a great opportunity for those interested in expanding their skills. Expect around 65 cases daily, with modern equipment like Baxter pumps and Phillips and Dynomap robots. No prescreening for OR experience or specific case types is required, but no open heart cases are included. Modern sedation necessitates ACLS certification for permanent staff, and the call schedule includes one weeknight call every four weeks from 7 PM to 7 AM, plus a weekend call shift on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, up to 24 hours every three months.
