Job Description:

This travel contract offers a unique opportunity to work as an L&D RN in the charming town of Blanding, Utah. You’ll be supporting a busy birthing unit with an average of 120-130 births annually, while also floating to MedSurg when needed. The role involves caring for mothers during labor and delivery, managing postpartum recovery, and ensuring safe and smooth transitions for new families. The hospital’s setup includes three triage beds and postpartum rooms, with births handled in a dedicated space. Expect a mix of the hustle and the peaceful moments that come with delivering new life - sometimes with the help of family practice physicians, as no neonatologists are in-house. If you’re looking for an assignment that combines hands-on nursing with the flexibility of floating responsibilities, this is a perfect fit. The 12-hour night shifts provide a rhythm that lets you truly immerse yourself in the role, all in a setting that values your expertise and dedication.

Weather:

Typically, the weather around this time of year in Blanding, Utah, is crisp and clear, with moderate temperatures that make outdoor adventures comfortably enjoyable. Expect a mixture of sunny days and cooler evenings, ideal for exploring the scenic landscape after your shift.

Fun Things To Do:

  • Gooseberry Mesa Mountain Biking: Explore world-renowned singletrack trails with stunning views.
  • Discover Anasazi Ruins: Take a short trip to native archaeological sites and learn about local history.
