Job Description

Take your labor and delivery expertise to Pueblo, Colorado, for a 13-week contract assignment supporting a women’s and infants labor and delivery unit. This role is designed for an experienced Registered Nurse who can manage laboring and high-risk OB patients, provide OB triage support, place internal monitors, and circulate in the OR. You will work a fast-paced night-shift schedule with varied weekly days, including weekends and possible call based on unit needs. Consider it a chance to put your L&D experience to work when the rest of the city is winding down.

At least two years of labor and delivery experience is required. AWHONN Intermediate certification is required; AWHONN Advanced alone does not meet the requirement. AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and an active state license are also required. First-time travelers may be considered when experience requirements are met.

Weather

Pueblo generally offers comfortable, crisp conditions around this time of year, with plenty of bright skies, cool air, and refreshing evenings. Pack layers so you can enjoy outdoor plans between shifts.

Fun Things To Do

• Riverwalk: Stroll along the Arkansas River, browse nearby shops, and enjoy local dining.

• Lake Pueblo State Park: Spend a day hiking, boating, fishing, or enjoying the lake views.

• Colorado Springs Day Trip: Explore Garden of the Gods and enjoy the mountain scenery.

• Royal Gorge Day Trip: Visit the gorge, take in the dramatic views, and explore the surrounding attractions.

• Historic Arkansas Riverwalk: Enjoy a relaxed walk, seasonal events, and Pueblo’s local atmosphere.
